JOB TITLE: SOFTWARE ENGINEER
JOB DUTIES:
- Design, develop, and modify software applications and systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure design outcomes.
- Analyze information to recommend and plan new systems or modifications to existing systems.
- Determine feasibility of software design within time and cost constraints by analyzing user needs and software requirements.
- Collaborate with data processing or project managers to understand data processing project limitations and capabilities.
- Establish and maintain system performance standards.
- Develop or oversee software system testing, validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance.
- Monitor equipment to ensure system compliance with specifications.
- Design and develop computer and network software, including specialized utility programs.
- Develop IT performance metrics and standards, testing routines, and technical documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in Software Engineering or Development, preferably in a related area.
- Job locations in East Lansing, MI & various unanticipated client sites nationally requiring relocation and travel to these sites involving short and long-term assignments.
- Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training and experience.
- U.S. payrate $111,072/year.
